Ricky Diaz Joins FP1 Strategies
Republican Advertising Firm Bolsters Team Going Into 2014 Cycle
WASHINGTON, Jan. 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- FP1 Strategies, LLC today announced that Ricky Diaz will be joining the firm as vice president at the beginning of February 2014. Diaz brings valuable communications, media and political experience to FP1 Strategies having worked with high-profile Republican leaders on statewide campaigns and in government. During the 2012 election cycle, Ricky Diaz served as press secretary for Pat McCrory's successful campaign for North Carolina governor. After McCrory's historic victory as the first Republican elected governor of North Carolina since 1988, Ricky Diaz served in the highest levels of state government, including as deputy communications director in the Office of the Governor and communications director of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
Ricky Diaz previously served as director of media affairs for New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and deputy director of communications for U.S. Senator Richard Burr's 2010 re-election campaign. Ricky Diaz also served as e-campaign director for Chris Christie's first campaign for New Jersey governor. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University.

Rob Jesmer recently joined FP1 Strategies as its fourth partner. Most recently, Jesmer was executive director of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC). During his four years as executive director, Jesmer oversaw an effort that netted five GOP seats and raised over $200 million. In addition to his work at the NRSC, Jesmer managed Senator John Cornyn's successful re-election campaign in 2008 and served as the southeast regional political director for the RNC in 2006.
