Richard P. Owen Elected to Underwriters Laboratories' Board of Trustees
NORTHBROOK, Ill., June 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Underwriters Laboratories (UL) today announced that Richard P. Owen has been elected to UL's board of trustees.
Mr. Owen is currently the Electrical Planning Section Committee Chairman for Minnesota's Building Official's Institute and recently retired as Senior Electrical Inspector and Senior Trades Coordinator for the City of St. Paul, Minn. Over his more than 30-year career, Mr. Owen oversaw field inspections on commercial, industrial and residential projects throughout St. Paul's downtown area.
As a respected member of the electrical inspection community, Mr. Owen is also a long-standing member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI). He has served on the IAEI international board of directors throughout his career and most recently was the international president of the IAEI and junior IAEI international past president and chairman of the board of directors.
