Mr. Freeman to head RBM's Litigation Practice Group
NEW YORK, Dec. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Rheem Bell & Mermelstein LLP ("RBM") is pleased to announce that Richard E. Freeman III has been made a partner of the firm and will head RBM's Litigation Practice Group. A graduate of Brooklyn Law School, Mr. Freeman will oversee RBM's litigation practice, representing individuals and businesses in New York State and Federal courts, and before alternate dispute resolution panels in the United States and abroad.
"I am extremely pleased that Richard is now a partner of this firm. As a senior litigation associate at RBM, we immediately recognized his skills as a legal practitioner. Working with him, we also discovered his strong business acumen, great sense of humor, consideration and kindness. All of this made our decision to promote Richard an extremely easy one. He will continue to be an incredible asset to our firm and I very much look forward to working with him as a partner," stated Christine Bell, Partner at RBM.
Prior to RBM, Richard spent several years at private firms practicing primarily in the areas of business, commercial and real property litigation, as well as commercial transactions. Drawing experience from his time working at the United Nations, Office of Legal Affairs, the general counsel's offices of Elizabeth Arden, and the International Rescue Committee, Richard will combine his past experiences and skill set to elevate the firm's litigation department.
"I am very happy to accept my new role," says Mr. Freeman. "I am honored to join RBM and to expand its litigation practice. We have done some great work as a firm and I look forward as a Partner to really hit the ground running in 2017."
