NEW YORK, Mar. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- RFID Journal announced today that speakers from Lululemon Athletica, Oracle and Delta Air Lines will be featured in general sessions at RFID Journal LIVE! 2016. The conference and exhibition will be held on May 3-5, at the Orange County Convention Center, in Orlando, Fla. These sessions will complement a panel featuring past RFID Journal Award winners Vail Resorts, Mark & Spencer and Airbus. Key themes among all of these sessions will be the use of RFID to improve customer experience and business operations.
Jonathan Aitken, the director of IT, store technology operations, for Lululemon Athletica's RFID program, will discuss how RFID drives the customer experience and inventory accuracy at the chic athletic apparel retailer. In the space of a single year, the company successfully deployed RFID at all of its more than 350 stores, as well as in its distribution centers. The firm is using RFID to offer customers improved access to the items they seek, and to provide an optimum in-store experience.
Eric Moucatel, Oracle's IT senior manager, will share how his firm is using RFID to improve operations within data centers. The firm will discuss how it has successfully deployed the project at data centers in Texas, Colorado and Scotland. It will also share the results of how RFID has provided Oracle with real business benefits, and outline its future plans.
Rick Lewis, Delta Air Lines' business analyst for aircraft maintenance, will discuss how his company has been employing RFID within its maintenance operations for the past five years, tagging onboard aircraft equipment that must be managed for both presence and expiration date. Lewis will also share additional RFID projects currently underway, including internal logistics, tool management, equipment security checks and maintenance support equipment tracking.
To commemorate the 10th year of the prestigious RFID Journal Awards, RFID Journal has invited past winners from across a variety of industries to discuss how the technology has evolved throughout the past decade, how they now view RFID and the Internet of Things, and how their forward-thinking organizations plan to use RFID to achieve even greater benefits in the future. This panel will include Robert Urwiler, Vail Resorts' CIO; Carlo Nizam, Airbus' head of digitalization for ICT; and Richard Jenkins, Marks & Spencer's head of RFID strategic development.
