WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., May 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Members of the media are invited to attend a press conference hosted by Reynolds American Inc. at 9:30 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2014, at R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company's Tobaccoville Manufacturing Center.

The company will be announcing news related to economic development issues. Anticipated speakers at the event include Susan M. Cameron, president and CEO of Reynolds American, and N.C. Governor Pat McCrory.

Pre-registration is required in order to attend the press conference. All members of the media planning to attend must email their names and media affiliations to [email protected] by 4:00 p.m. Thursday, May 22, in order to pre-register. Members of the media will be required to show a photo ID and appropriate media credentials to gain admission to the Tobaccoville campus grounds. Media representatives who are not pre-registered and who do not have acceptable media accreditation may not be allowed onto the facility's grounds.

The Tobaccoville Manufacturing Center is located at 100 Moore-RJR Drive, Tobaccoville, N.C. 27050. From Winston-Salem, take N.C. Highway 52 North to exit 122. Stay right at the top of the ramp, cross back over U.S. 52 and the security gate will be straight ahead.

Due to security procedures and the large size of the Tobaccoville campus, it is recommended that media arrive well in advance of the 9:30 a.m. press conference start time. The parking lot for media will not be open until 8:30 a.m. The auditorium in which the press conference will be held will be opened to media representatives at 9:00 a.m.
