Reykjavik Calling Gives Denver Fans A Taste Of Icelandic Music During Free Show At The Gothic Theatre

DENVER, Sept. 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Denver music fans are in for much more than a "taste" of Iceland at The Gothic Theatre this weekend, they can expect an earful. Reykjavik Calling, part of the A Taste of Iceland events in Denver this week, is a free Icelandic music showcase presented by KGNU 88.5 FM & 1390 AM.
In addition to performing full sets, during the show, each Iceland artists will be paired with a Denver-based singer songwriter to perform never before heard cross-cultural collaborations. Fans can expect a variety of musical styles from Iceland's best including Lay Low's bluesy honky-tonk inspired vocals to Mugison's epic power-rock performances.
