TAUNTON, Mass., Sept. 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Taunton-based Rexel Energy Solutions is hosting a 5k Walk/Run to benefit Boston Children's Hospital's Every Child Fund. RES has planned the fundraiser on October 7, 2018 and the race will start at the Holiday Inn Taunton located at 700 Myles Standish Blvd in Taunton.
Running enthusiasts and all supporters are invited to participate or attend the event to raise funds for BCH's Every Child Fund. The 3.1 mile course runs through Myles Standish Industrial Park and is perfect for first time 5K runners or walkers. To register to walk or run, make a donation, or inquire about sponsoring the event, visit www.rexelenergy.com/5k.
The Every Child Fund empowers Boston Children's Hospital to respond to a changing world with one goal: until every child is well. Donations ease families burdens and cover services insurance won't pay for. From big needs, like housing, interpreters and social workers, to small comforts like birthday celebrations, medical play, and therapy dogs. Proceeds from the RES 5K will support patients, their families, and research – nurturing every child, supporting every family, and conquering every disease.
"Rexel Energy Solutions' community engagement council is made up of employees from across our business focused on identifying opportunities for our team to support causes that are important to our families and friends," said Christopher Monoson, President and General Manager of Rexel Energy Solutions. "The latest in this pursuit is the RES 5k for Boston Children's Hospital which is a great way for our employees to engage the community, improve wellness and raise funds for an issue larger than themselves; the care for children in need," Monoson added.
Race fees are $25 for adults and $20 for children. T-Shirts will be given to all registrants. Registration/check-in begins at 9:00am at the Holiday Inn (back parking lot), and the race is scheduled to start at 10:30am. Register online today at www.rexelenergy.com/5k.
