CHICAGO, May 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Rexam, a leading beverage can manufacturer, recently brought together seven suppliers from across the U.S. to celebrate their award-winning achievements in 2013.

Now in its 11th year, the Rexam Supplier Excellence Award program recognizes the suppliers that consistently ensure reliability, quality and cost effectiveness throughout the the company's supply chain. This includes an annual awards dinner to celebrate the success of its supplier partnerships, review key business priorities and discuss ways to continue to enhance performance in the future.

The 2013 awards were presented to:

Applied Vision – Innovation – for delivering value added and innovative solutions that have improved Rexam's manufacturing process with unique and cost-effective solutions to a range of technical challenges.

TSG – Continuous Improvement – for demonstrating a great ability to improve their processes, products and systems through-out the year resulting in enhanced services at better cost.

Motor Carrier Services – Teamwork – for working with Rexam as a strategic partner to achieve creative solutions to business challenges resulting in sustainable competitive advantages.
