A fresh, unconventional approach to the Global Alliance COMM PRIX Awards that centres on the value of relationships has been announced by the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management.

The awards will move away from traditional categories with global accolades instead given to programmes demonstrating advances in the critical relationships between organisations, their stakeholders and communities.
Anyone already recognised by GA member awards schemes can enter GA COMM PRIX by submitting their original entry with the addition of a summary that explains how the programme advanced the essential relationships involved.
"Public relations builds and sustains the relationships necessary to maintain a licence to operate", said Anne Gregory, Global Alliance Chair. "The new format allows us to focus on the outcome - improved relationships and societal good - rather than simply the outputs, or the 'things' that have been done. If an entrant has already received a category-based award - for example, internal communications, corporate relations or crisis management - their COMM PRIX entry would address the wider question of how their programme contributed to improving or advancing critical relationships.
"It is a different approach but a timely one which we believe signals and highlights the role and value of public relations in society. It demonstrates not just professionalism and leadership in the things that we do - it demonstrates the difference we make."
Ten COMM PRIX winners - including academic case studies - will be announced prior to the next World Public Relations Forum in Toronto in 2016, with a Supreme Winner announced during the course of the WPRF. The ten winners will be invited to present their work during the Forum, allowing their peers from around the world to listen to, and question, the 'best of the best'.
Entries opened on March 3, 2015 and close on February 15, 2016, so that every eligible award winner around the world has the opportunity to participate.
Information on the Global Alliance COMM PRIX awards and details on how to enter can be found here.
