Revolutionary homebrewing machine developer achieves milestone
SEATTLE, Sept. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- PicoBrew Inc., developer of the Zymatic®-the first automatic all-grain beer brewing appliance, today announced they have shipped their 100thunit.
Kickstarter backer Kevin McDonnell of Union City, Calif. was the 100th customer to have his unit shipped out of PicoBrew's Seattle, Wash. office.
"I'm so excited to be getting my machine and to be the 100th is extra cool," said McDonnell. "I have recipes for Atomic Amber, B-52 Blonde, Not Yet-IE and Tweaties. I'm still trying to figure out which to brew first...decisions, decisions."
PicoBrew Inc. has been deluged with orders since their Kickstarter launch, so to help increase production, they turned to Seattle-based production company Technical Assembly Services Corp (TASC).
"TASC has done great work assembling a very complex device for us reliably at a rate of over 100 units per month," said PicoBrew CEO Bill Mitchell. "We're very excited that TASC has been able to help us get high-quality machines into customers' hands."
Hannah Van Eenoo of Seattle, was one of the first 100 customers to receive her unit. "I am so very impressed. I mean I knew it was going to be cool, but I didn't realize it would be this jaw-dropping awesome! Clean-up was so easy!" said Van Eenoo.
"Our mission is to get the world brewing," said Mitchell, "and making customers like Hannah and Kevin happy is how we're going to do it. Nothing beats the feeling of enjoying top-quality craft-beer that you've actually brewed yourself!"
PicoBrew Zymatic® units are still available at pre-order pricing at PicoBrew.com.
