Revolution Messaging Strategist Named One of Campaign & Elections Magazine's 'Rising Stars'
WASHINGTON, May 28 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Revolution Messaging communications strategist Toby Chaudhuri was named one of 2010's political Rising Stars by his peers at Campaigns & Elections Magazine. Chaudhuri and the other winners will be featured in the June issue of the magazine.
Campaigns & Elections selects 10 Democrats under the age of 35 who have shown innovation and excellence in communications, Get Out The Vote, fundraising, polling, or campaign management. Previous winners include David Axelrod, Celinda Lake and Rahm Emmanuel.
"Much of what we do takes place behind the scenes," said Chaudhuri. "I'm humbled to work with clients who believe we have the greatest opportunity for reform in a generation. They're the ones who trust us to raise the bar and push the envelope everyday to experiment with new ways to organize."
Chaudhuri was a spokesman for civil rights leader Marian Wright Edelman, media strategist for the Children's Defense Fund and a deputy press secretary for Vice President Al Gore's 2000 presidential campaign. He comes to Revolution Messaging after spending several years directing communications at the Campaign for America's Future, a progressive strategy center.
As part of the Revolution Messaging team, Chaudhuri works with political campaigns as well as labor and progressive groups to influence public policy with social media, lifestyle marketing and text messaging.
Revolution Messaging is only in its first year, but has a growing team of top-flight organizers, programmers and strategists in its Logan Circle office. They specialize in incorporating mobile marketing and new media strategy into grassroots campaigns.
The company -- founded by Scott Goodstein, who developed the Obama campaign's social networking platforms, lifestyle marketing strategy and mobile technology -- was recently honored by the Personal Democracy Forum as the overall top rated political technology shop in the country. Revolution Messaging was also rated by the Forum as the best political technology shop for the reliability of its software and customer service.
