Revo to Bring Expedition Blue Planet and Global Water Advocate Alexandra Cousteau to Denver
FOOTHILL RANCH, Calif., Aug. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Revo, in association with Expedition Blue Planet and Sunglass Hut International, today announced National Geographic Emerging Explorer and Revo Ambassador Alexandra Cousteau will make an in-store appearance Tuesday, Aug. 17 from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Sunglass Hut at the Denver Pavillion (500 16th Street, Ste 118, Denver, CO).
As a tribute to the 100th birthday of her legendary grandfather, Jacques-Yves Cousteau, Alexandra and her Expedition Blue Planet team set out earlier this summer on a 138-day journey across North America to explore critical water issues impacting the United States, Canada and Mexico. Revo, the ecologically-friendly sunglass company featuring the Revo Re-Use™ frame, is one of the sponsors of Expedition Blue Plant.
This historic road-trip-with-a-message pairs Alexandra's family legacy of expeditionary filmmaking with social media and live events to engage and educate the public on water issues that affect us all. In addition to filming key water stories for the National Geographic Society Freshwater Initiative, this expedition also features watershed activities in communities along the route.
Open to the public, event attendees will have the unique opportunity to meet Alexandra and discuss how they can support organizations working on watershed issues in their local communities. Everyone in attendance will receive a signed poster from Alexandra and complimentary gift from Revo. Plus, all Revo purchases made at Sunglass Hut during each event will be accompanied by a free Klean Kanteen water bottle.

About Revo
In 1985, Revo began as a small sunglasses brand with a big idea: technology used by NASA was just as suited for sunglasses as it was for satellites. The idea proved revolutionary, as Revo created the most advanced sunglasses on Earth. Today, Revo continues to build on a rich tradition of innovation by creating the clearest and most advanced polarized sunglasses made with Revo Polarcast™ technology. Revo is also conscious of the world's social and ecological challenges, and strives to act in a responsible and active way. The Revo Eco Collection is one way of taking responsibility, featuring sunglasses made from Revo Re-Use™, a frame material derived from 100 percent recycled pre-consumer polymer resins, and Revo Eco-Use™, a sustainable material made from the seed of the castor bean plant instead of widely used petroleum-based nylons. Targeted toward the active sport and lifestyle consumer, the 100 percent polarized eyewear collection is available at authorized Revo retail locations nationwide. Revo is held by the Luxottica Group (NYSE: LUX; MTA: LUX), a Milan, Italy-based global leader in premium fashion, luxury and sports eyewear. www.revo.com.
