ReverbNation Announces Finalists in Marriott Rewards® Credit Card from Chase Battle of the Bands Contest
Contest Highlights Best Emerging Country Artists on ReverbNation's Deep Roster
NEW YORK, Aug. 31, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- ReverbNation has helped thousands and thousands of emerging artists over the years by providing unique opportunities for them to build their audiences. From playing festivals like Summerfest and Bonnaroo, to getting the end title of a major motion picture (POINT BREAK) or a spot on a television commercial, ReverbNation can open doors for bands that can be career changing. And now, with the first-ever Marriott Rewards Credit Card from Chase Battle of the Bands Contest, a national brand is tapping into the energy that a ReverbNation opportunity creates.
For the past several weeks, music fans have been voting for their favorite emerging country artist via Marriott Rewards Credit Card Battle of the Bands Contest, and today ReverbNation announced the three finalists:
- Savannah Lynne (Franklin, TN)
- Zach Linley & The Rebel Daredevils (Champaign, IL)
- Courtney Dickinson (Acworth, GA)
More than 3,000 bands entered for the chance to open for country star Tyler Farr at an exclusive concert for Marriott Rewards Credit Cardmembers on September 3rd in Austin, Texas. ReverbNation's curation team picked the 10 most promising artists among the initial entries, and for the past several weeks music fans have been voting for their favorite among the semi-finalists. The top three vote getters, which were announced today, will travel to Austin to play a show on September 2nd, where the audience will pick a winner to open for Tyler Farr.
"A contest like this creates a wealth of awareness through ReverbNation.com and our social media platforms as well as via the networks of the semi-finalists and all of their fans," said ReverbNation's Chief Creative Officer, Simon Perry. "The result is a powerful groundswell of attention for a brand all around new music. We want to thank Marriott Rewards and Chase for helping us shine a light on these incredibly talented artists."
A technology company at its core, ReverbNation was able to tap into its vast catalog to invite country-leaning artists to submit their material and both build and oversee the Marriott Rewards Credit Card Battle of the Bands voting microsite. A program like this is a great example of how ReverbNation can leverage all facets of its business – artist/fan communities, curation/A&R, and tech/development – to create and execute turnkey programs for national brands.
In addition to this groundbreaking battle of the bands contest, ReverbNation has a myriad of programs that artists can take advantage of to build their audiences.
