"The past year has been a tremendous time of growth for Revel with new funding, new customers and now wonderful new team members," said Lisa Falzone, CEO and co-founder of Revel Systems. "Alex Bogachek, Justin Shong and Marius Domokos each bring very valuable and specialized assets to the table to help us grow the company in the direction that we are projecting, so we are very honored to have them join the team."
Alex Bogachek joins Revel Systems as vice president of engineering with 15 years of software development and management experience to lead the company's rapidly expanding multinational engineering team. Responsibilities will include software development, quality assurance, product management, development operations as well as technical support functions. Alex has worked with small startups as well as established organizations and managed a wide variety of business functions spanning from engineering to IT, HR and operations. Most recently, Alex was at SynapSense Corporation for seven years as director of software development and technology, where he was leading design of a mission critical monitoring and control solution for major data centers. Prior to that, Alex spent eight years at an international company, where he was responsible for design and delivery of complex enterprise and telecommunication products. He received a MS degree in computer science from Nizhny Novgorod State University, leading computer science school in Russia, and an MBA in organizational leadership from the same university.
Revel Systems' new head of sales and marketing is Justin Shong, a technology sales veteran with 20 years of experience. Justin was with global business services company Concentrix for almost three years, where he was the top performer for leading a SaaS provider in the global enterprise recurring revenue space. Prior to Concentrix, Justin was senior vice president of worldwide sales at OCZ Technology (NASD OCZ), where he was responsible for turning the company into the world's largest independent manufacturer of solid state drives, growing from zero to $175 million in two years. Justin has also held executive positions at GBH Communications, Acer America, Avnet and multiple startups. Justin's move to Revel Systems is attributed to the tremendous value proposition with its iPad POS solution, the great team of staff and executives, and an opportunity to be a disruptive force in a $25B industry. Justin brings to Revel deep experience in building global sales channels and strategic partnerships that deliver high revenue growth. According to Justin, "The POS space is at an inflection point, and with our new technology and approach, Revel is poised to reshape the market and drive tremendous growth." Justin holds a BS in economics and an MBA in finance from Santa Clara University.
Marius Domokos' addition to the Revel Systems team fills the role of general counsel. He will also join the larger executive team and work closely with Lisa Falzone (CEO) to assist in managing corporate development. Marius has broad experience handling strategic business relationships and legal transactions in the financial and e-commerce space, web and social networking, mobile and wireless industries and across the semiconductor manufacturing chain. Among his specialties are general operational issues, M&A transactions, asset purchases, corporate and tax-centered reorganizations and restructuring, fundraising and investments, IPOs, collateral valuations, asset due diligence, and public company reporting and compliance. Marius has substantial litigation experience in high stakes disputes within the U.S. and internationally, defended numerous companies against patent assertions by NPEs and other licensing entities, wrote and prosecuted strategic patents, and developed global patent portfolios. Marius previously worked as an attorney at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati, served as counsel for most groups within Intel Corporation, acted as director of IP and privacy at Coupons.com and was the general counsel at Shocking Technologies.
