The latest version of DEMS features DEMS Web, a browser-enabled version of Reveal's award-winning evidence management software for hybrid and enterprise deployments. DEMS users can now access, annotate and share footage using a number of popular browsers on a range of devices, and view footage from any device, including cell phones.
An updated, elegantly designed user interface makes managing evidence intuitive, and stringent security and encryption ensures captured footage retains evidential quality integrity from the camera to court. From Reveal's range of police body cameras, which feature a front facing screen, articulated camera head and US-government approved AE256 encryption, through to DEMS, all actions are captured in a full, encrypted audit trail, ensuring the ultimate security and integrity of data.
This latest version of DEMS software also enables cloud storage, allowing users to store their evidential video as they please, on desktop, server or cloud. Businesses of all sizes can utilize DEMS as they choose, not as dictated by their software provider.
Reveal's DEMS software is licensed, fee-free, with any purchase of Reveal's industry-leading body cameras. There are no ongoing license fees or subscriber charges to pay, ensuring the operational cost of deploying a police body camera project remains low, something that an increasing number of police departments are realizing is a key consideration for the viability of their project. There are no contractual tie-in periods for using DEMS, giving customers the freedom and flexibility to manage their body camera program in a way that suits them, not their vendor.
"Reveal's experience as the most widely deployed body camera solution worldwide, and the feedback of our customers have driven these latest developments," said Alasdair Field, CEO, Reveal. "Policing isn't ever 'just' a desk job. Giving our customers the ability to manage their evidential footage from the web, wherever they happen to be and store their footage in a location that suits them, ensures we continue enabling our customers to dictate how they deploy their body camera program, in a way that best suits them."
Reveal's latest software is available from 22nd January, 2016. Existing DEMS customers should contact Reveal to arrange a free upgrade.
