RLTV Takes the Award for Documentary on Alzheimer's Disease
BALTIMORE, June 21 /PRNewswire/ -- RLTV, the first cable network created for adults 55+, announced today that their documentary, Not Fade Away, was awarded a 2010 Emmy® by the National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Not Fade Away won the Emmy® in the category of Original Documentary. Not Fade Away chronicles the issues facing patients, families and researchers, sharing fresh insight into the world of those afflicted with Alzheimer's. Never before has a documentary sought to unveil "what it feels like" to have the disease. Not Fade Away was produced by Elliot Jacobson and David Wasser, Executive Producers, and Scott Newell, Producer.

Working in partnership with the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA) and the Blanchette Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute (BRNI), RLTV's documentary features stories from people diagnosed with the disease and explores its grave impact on the victims and their families, such as the family of Senator Jay Rockefeller (D-WV), whose mother died of complications from Alzheimer's in 1992.
