Retailers Turn to Adspace to Increase Black Friday Sales
NEW YORK, Nov. 15, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Adspace Digital Mall Network is supporting the retail community by helping drive more traffic through their doors during this year's Black Friday rush. The day after Thanksgiving has become a retailers' holiday and is traditionally celebrated as the day when retailers go from red to black on their balance sheets.
In an effort to increase sales, retailers will be running a variety of special offers and promotions on Black Friday. Adspace Digital Mall Network will select and feature the best Black Friday promotions on their Smart Screens through its popular Today's Top Ten editorial content. The Black Friday Today's Top Ten special, where retailers are selected based on the type of offer and the interest level of the shoppers, will run on Adspace's network of HD digital Smart Screens located throughout 113 Class A malls.
The Adspace Digital Mall Network will help retailers leverage the Black Friday craze by attracting shoppers into their stores, while consumers will get outstanding value by taking advantage of these offers. The following is a sampling of retailers who will be featured on the Black Friday Today's Top Ten: American Eagle, Sephora, Bakers, Perfumania, Yankee Candle, Stride Rite, Body Shop/Body Central, Gertrude Hawke Chocolates and Wild Pair.
"Shoppers we talk to seem more excited about this holiday season than they have been over the last two years. More retailers than ever are asking to be featured in our editorial content," said Warren Christopher, Editorial Director for Adspace Digital Mall Network. "Because of the overwhelming response from the retail community we are able to offer shoppers the most exciting items this holiday season. We hope the 2010 shopping season will help many retailers finally climb out of the recession and restore the health of an industry that flourishes during the holidays."
Black Friday Today's Top Ten promotions will be featured on Adspace's Digital Mall Network of 1,500 in-mall digital, eight-foot tall billboards fitted with 65-inch vertical plasma screens. The campaign will run through Black Friday weekend.
