You'd think a dove like Feingold would have plenty to say about a deal hailed by President Obama and leaders in his party.
But since the deal was struck July 14, Feingold has said almost nothing about what amounts to the most consequential foreign policy agreement in a generation.
Is it because the weak-kneed deal is increasingly unpopular with the public? Is Feingold shifting with the winds? Where does he stand?
Restoration PAC has released two ads that oppose the Iran deal. The PAC is headed by West Point grad and Army veteran Doug Truax.
"Those who want to lead our country can't duck and hide on the most important issues of the day," Truax said. "Whether Congress approves this deal might be the most important decision we'll face in our lifetime."
Restoration PAC released a second ad this week titled, "Toothless." It is a :30 ad to run in conjunction with last week's similar :60 second ad. The TV spots are airing in the Milwaukee, Madison and Green Bay television markets.
Truax said Restoration PAC plans to run the ads in other markets in Wisconsin and in other states with tightly contested U.S. Senate races.
