Restaurant.com Gives Away "Plates of Thanks" to Help Independent Restaurants Build and Grow

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill., June 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Restaurant.com, the nation's largest dining deals site, is now offering savings at more than 20,000 restaurants and is celebrating this milestone by giving free gifts of gratitude to independently owned restaurants across the country. The company's Plates of Thanks campaign is designed to support the country's independent restaurants, the heart of America's communities.

The company worked to identify needs and provide solutions for establishments that were nominated by diners in May. The gifts range from new restaurant equipment and marketing support to landscaping and new flooring. Of the 20 selected restaurants, Restaurant.com is delivering their gifts of gratitude live on-site at the following five restaurants:

• Due Amici Pizza in Tampa, FL on June 16^th
• Randi's Restaurant & Bar in Philadelphia, PA on June 17^th
• Kimi's Bistro in Atlanta, GA on June 18^th
• Truffles and Bacon Cafe in Las Vegas, NV on June 23^rd
• Prost! in Chicago on June 25^th

In addition to restaurants, the campaign is celebrating diners. The Plates of Thanks Sweepstakes will award 20 winners with a big night out at participating restaurants. The sweepstakes closes on June 21. The campaign supports small businesses, too. Twenty small businesses will be selected to receive free bundles of $25 Restaurant.com cards. The cards work to attract, reward and thank customers with Restaurant.com savings.
