VERO BEACH, Fla., March 5, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- At Market Street Memory Care Residence Palm Coast, residents, family members and associates joined together in spirited competition for the Market Street 2020 Winter Olympic Games. Watercrest Senior Living, operator of Market Street, coordinated the Olympic Games as part of Watercrest's Live Exhilarated™ program, which encourages resident's creativity, activity, and social engagement while engaging in diverse and enriching programs.

The Market Street Winter Olympic Games kicked off last week at Market Street Palm Coast with residents competing in javelin toss, curling, discus throw, and flip cup. Executive Chef Juan provided delicious treats while guests posed in the photo booth with authentic memorabilia from the 1988 Winter Olympics, donated by Joe and Bernice Galianese.
"Everyone enjoyed reminiscing over the history of the Olympic Games," says Jennifer Wilson, Memory Care Director at Market Street Palm Coast, "but the residents especially loved competing in their own volleyball competition and javelin toss, which made for lots of laughs and great cardio workouts!"
The Live Exhilarated™ program was created specifically for Watercrest Senior Living by Hollie Kemp, a nationally recognized award-winning dementia and memory care specialist. Kemp recently launched the program at Market Street, focusing on the active pursuit of 'personal wholeness' for each resident.
