VERO BEACH, Fla., March 4, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- At Palm Bay Memory Care, residents, family members and associates joined together for festive and friendly competition in the Palm Bay 2020 Winter Olympic Games. The Palm Bay Winter Olympic Games kicked off with Opening Ceremonies as residents marched to traditional opening music while carrying their torches. The resident Olympians competed in a snowball toss, curling, and bobsled races with specially designed bobsleds, hand-built by Mr. John Winchester.
"Our goal for the event was to stay active and utilize our abilities to their full potential," says Michele Lyon, Executive Director of Palm Bay Memory Care. "Our residents were smiling and laughing all day; they loved the competition and cheering each other on, especially in the bobsled races. It was a truly memorable event."
