Representatives of the innovation "Made in Chile" hit eMerge Americas
10 entrepreneurs represented some of the best innovative products "made in Chile" at the "Start Up Village" of eMerge Americas, event which intends to unify the industry trends of technology and innovation in the Americas.
MIAMI, May 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- 10 entrepreneurs represented Chile at the "Start Up Village" of eMerge Americas, event which intends to become the gate of innovation and entrepreneurship on Latin America, between 1st and 7th of May.
Representatives of startups "Made in Chile" were selected by the major programs that support innovation and entrepreneurship in Chile: Start-Up Chile and CONTACTChile, with the support of the Chilean Entrepreneurs Association (ASECH). All this entrepreneurs had the opportunity to present their startups to investors and understand how Miami is becoming a hub of innovation for Latin Americans in the United States.

This country has the support from both private and public sector in promoting innovation and technology and we believe that there is a huge potential to accelerate the growth of this economy with startups and innovation centers based on the discipline and stimulation that this market has", said Diane Sanchez, CEO of the Technology Foundation of the Americas.
Arjun Pillai, CEO of Vibe (vibeapp.co) -an app that finds all information about the person behind an email ID- went to eMerge Americas representing the innovation "made in Chile": "Emerge provided a much needed acceleration for me. I have generated several quality leads with very good probability of conversion. The platform is amazing for Startups and I wish it continues as an Annual event," he said. Chileans representing the best of innovation and entrepreneurship at Miami
Chilean Camilo Erazo, co-founder of eHealth community Viralizando (www.viralizando.cl) and clinical manager of eHealth Systems, presented on a panel dedicated to entrepreneurship and innovation in health, along with Axel Barcelo, CEO of Incubando Salud and Javier Lozano, CEO of Clinicas del Azucar. Since 2012, Viralizando has gathered MD.'s, health investigators, startups, investors and patients, to discuss the future and rol of innovation and technology in health. "It's time to change radically the conversation on what roles have and should have the different players in health industry, to make the market better, also better products and, specially, to give a better quality of life to patients, by making them integrated and participative. This is why, the Chilean entrepreneur scene is excellent right now, because it allows a better environment for investigation, competitiveness and to create more involved and aware patients", Erazo says.
Domingo Godoy, the only entrepreneur selected in the "late stage startups competition" of this first eMerge America's, presented Inzpiral (www.inzpiral.com), a company that provides a suite of Business Intelligence solutions that improve the decision making based on information on company's operations. "We know our strength it's the kind of solutions that we provide and how they complement each other and this is something that visitors like investors and other entrepreneurs told us throughout the event. Everybody also agreed on the potential that we have and, as well, Chile, which is a perfect place to look for good examples and practices", said Godoy.
Babybe, on the other hand, was the only chilean startup to be selected on the "Early Stage Startups". Babybe is a device that gives preterm babies the chance to experience their mother´s presence even when confined to an incubator, through wireless technology (www.babybemedical.com). Founder Camilo Anabalon says: "It's fantastic to be in this kind of events, with such a great audience, such an important competition and, of course, such a developed market. Our next steps are expanding to Europe and USA".
Given the significant economic development achieved in the past decades, Chile has increased its expertise in exporting a wide range of goods and services – ranging from environmental services to movies and video games. From all of these sectors, a wide variety of new exportable services have emerged, and there are already many companies and professionals that have made successful ventures in foreign markets with an excellent and wide range of products.
