Rastafari Rootzfest 2017 to be Held December 15-17, 2017 in Negril, Jamaica; Oaksterdam University to Provide Educational Sessions at Jamaica's Premier Legally Exempt Cannabis Event
OAKLAND, Calif., Nov. 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Join Oaksterdam University and the organizers of Rastafari Rootzfest 2017 on November 1 at 2:15 PM PST for a press launch of Jamaica's premier legally exempt cannabis event. Oaksterdam University is located at 1734 Telegraph Avenue, Oakland, CA 94612.
Rastafari Rootzfest has become Jamaica's premier cannabis event based on the blending of education, the Ganjamaica Cup competition, local and international cannabis experts, authentic roots rock reggae music, and spiritual and physical wellness teachers.
Scheduled on December 15-17, 2017, in Negril Jamaica, Rastafari Rootzfest 2017 will feature numerous wellness coaches, spiritual teachers, yoga and meditation instructors, organic "Ital" master chefs, healing herbalists and personal life coaches. Experts from Oaksterdam University will be on hand teaching sessions focused on the cannabis plant from seed germination to harvest, research, bi-products development, legalization and export. Representatives from the Jamaican business development sector will also be present offering their consulting services. These activities will run concurrent to the other facets of the festival such as live demonstrations and local crafts, jewels and wears for sale.
In addition to the educational focus of the festival, top international reggae acts including Capleton, Jah Mason, Kabaka Pyramid, Bushman, Iba Mahr, Leroy Sibbles and more will perform each night. Nyahbinghi drumming and chanting will fill the air by the shores of Negril's famous seven-mile beach strip throughout the festival.
Rootzfest will culminate with the highly anticipated Ganjamaica Cup ceremony and will present awards to top growers and producers of the best tested marijuana and its bi-products in varying categories of exclusively Jamaican ganja strains judged by local and international experts.
Rootzfest is in step with Rastafari Livity, which has long been synonymous with mental and physical stamina, and is evident in the country's persistent and unwavering use and advocacy of cannabis and adherence to living an organic lifestyle. In Rastafari style, the festival will also share how to de-stress and live a healthy organic lifestyle through deep meditation, yoga and other relaxation techniques.
The organizers of Rastafari Rootzfest look forward to the many visitors who descend upon Negril's shores to experience this event each year and as such will have special packages available to include accommodations and event fees for activities as well as seminars and expos.
