ARMONK, N.Y., July 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- IBM (NYSE: IBM) today announced that IT analyst firm International Data Corporation (IDC) has ranked IBM Technology Services number one in market share as measured by revenue in its new report, "Worldwide Services 2010 Vendor Analysis: Revenue Performance of the Top 10."

According to the IDC report, IBM's 2010 worldwide services revenue was nearly 60 percent more than the next closest competitor. According to the report, IBM Technology Services was the market share leader in all three services categories (project-oriented, outsourcing, support/training), generating the most revenue in project-oriented services and over 35 percent more revenue in outsourcing than the next ranked provider. In addition, in 2010, IBM delivered over 50 percent more service revenue in the Americas compared with the next largest provider.
