Rep. Paul Ryan, Senators Paul, DeMint, Gov. McDonnell, Gov. Brewer to Speak at 2012 Values Voter Summit
WASHINGTON, Sept. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Republican vice presidential candidate Rep. Paul Ryan will speak at the Family Research Council Action's (FRC Action) 2012 Values Voter Summit (VVS), held this weekend from September 14-16 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C.
In addition, Perkins will speak today at the National Press Club in advance of the summit. He will assess the influence of social issues during the fall campaign. He will also discuss the aftermath of the Aug. 15 shooting at FRC headquarters, what the FBI characterizes as "an act of domestic terrorism." The luncheon meal will be served at 12:30 p.m. Eastern, with the program and Mr. Perkins' address beginning promptly at 1:00 p.m. It will be broadcast live on C-SPAN 3, and can be viewed online at the National Press Club's website.
The annual Values Voter Summit, which is expected to draw more than 2,000 grassroots activists from across the country, will have a speaker line-up that includes Gov. Bob McDonnell (R-VA), Gov. The 2012 Values Voter Summit is cosponsored by AFA Action, American Values, The Heritage Foundation, Liberty University, Liberty Counsel and Family Research Council.
