FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., June 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- In a heartfelt speech on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) highlighted the hard work and dedication of Debbie's Dream Foundation: Curing Stomach Cancer (DDF). Representing Florida's 27th congressional district, Congresswoman Ros-Lehtinen spoke passionately from the United States House floor about the significance and impact of DDF and its President and Founder, Debbie Zelman, a 9-year stage IV stomach cancer survivor.

"Debbie's Dream [Foundation] works with local communities, businesses, government agencies, and the scientific community to raise awareness about stomach cancer and promote research and cutting edge treatment to improve the lives of those afflicted with this cancer."

The Congresswoman also sat down to speak with members of the organization during its 5th Annual Stomach Cancer Capitol Hill Advocacy Day in Washington, D.C. this past February.
