Rep. Fattah Says New Numbers Proclaim the Economic Good News

WASHINGTON, March 4, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Congressman Chaka Fattah (D-PA) issues the following statement on the latest news about job growth and unemployment:

"The numbers proclaim the good news and the wisdom of President Obama's economic strategy. The steady growth and recovery of the American economy is once again documented by today's monthly report: job growth of 192,000 in February, upward revision of growth in the previous two months, and a down-tick in unemployment to 8.9 percent. We're seeing the largest three-month improvement in the unemployment since the early 1980s and some of the best overall numbers in three years. These gains are echoed in Pennsylvania, where unemployment fell to 8.2 percent, resident employment increased and the number of jobless Pennsylvanians fell to a 19-month low. Recovery won't come at warp speed, but the Obama Administration's economic policies continue to show dividends."
