Rep. Fattah Says New Jobs Report Shows Obama and Congress Have Economy on the Right Track

WASHINGTON, Nov. 5, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Congressman Chaka Fattah (D-PA), Chairman of the Congressional Urban Caucus and member of the House Appropriations Committee, issues the following statement:

"The American workforce grew by 151,000 jobs in October, much more than the economists predicted. As President Obama pointed out this morning, we have logged four straight months in which the private sector employers have created more than 100,000 jobs. While the pace of recovery must be quickened, today's report -- the tenth straight month for job growth -- is the latest demonstration that policies of the Obama Administration and the Democratic Congress have our economy on the right track. We will do all that we can, in the new political environment, to continue that recovery."
