Rep. Fattah Praises Obama for Fighting the Real Terrorists While Republican 'Talking Point Tough Guys' Play Politics

WASHINGTON, Feb. 16 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Congressman Chaka Fattah (D-PA) issues the following statement as Republicans call for the resignation of a Presidential aide even as the Obama Administration announces the capture of a top Taliban commander:

"They're much too busy with their political games to notice that American military and intelligence agents, under the leadership of our President, have just captured one of the most dangerous men in the world, the Afghan Taliban's Number Two commander.

"President Obama is standing strong and tall in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq, prosecuting a difficult war with tough policy decisions– and tens of thousands of additional troops since he took office. He deserves the support of all Americans as he battles the real terrorists. Meanwhile those on the right ignore our real security concerns and continue to play politics."
