Rep. Fattah Lauds NOAA, NASA on Weather Satellite Launch and Cites Their Critical Role in Environmental Monitoring from Space

WASHINGTON, Oct. 28, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Congressman Chaka Fattah (D-PA), the senior Democrat on the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science and related agencies, which handles appropriations for the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), NASA and most federal research, issues the following statement upon today's successful launch of the new polar-orbiting weather satellite.
