Rentrak Signs Contract With Entire Pappas Telecasting Group

PORTLAND, Ore., Aug. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- RENTRAK CORPORATION (NASDAQ: RENT), the leader in multi-screen media measurement serving the advertising, television and entertainment industries, today announced the company has signed a StationView Essentials contract with Pappas Telecasting across its entire station group roster including: KSWT-TV (CBS) in Yuma, AZ; KHGI-TV (ABC) and KFXL-TV (FOX) in Lincoln-Hastings NE; and KCWI-TV (CW) and KDMI-TV (THIS TV) in Des Moines, IA.

Pappas Telecasting chose Rentrak's StationView Essentials based on the much larger sample size in each of their local markets along with the fact that Rentrak's census-based TV measurement includes viewing segments currently not included in local TV measurement, such as military bases and students.
