- Sustained Growth in all Monetisation and Online Publishing Activities
The Rentabiliweb group (ISIN BE0946620946 -- Mnemo BIL) is pursuing its growth dynamics with an increase in its B2B (monetisation services) and B2C (publishing digital content) business platforms, increasing its revenues by 16.1% in the first three months of 2011 to EUR22,631,000.
In thousands of euros Q1 2011 Q1 2010 Change % Revenue 22,631 19,493 +16.1% of which monetisation of audience for third parties (B2B) 9,178 7,545 +21.6% of which monetisation of audience for own account 13,453 11,947 +12.6% (B2C)
"Every quarter, we continue to arm the company for the future. Beside the two-digit growth in revenues, the first quarter was marked by the integration of Astrology within our B2C panel, but also by the success of Mailocash, the signature of several monetisation contracts and the launch of innovative micropayment services. The Group's databases have now reached some 13.5 million entries, of which over 11 million are opt-in contacts. Our subsidiaries are created to permanently exploit intra-group synergies, and add B2B competencies to B2C performance on a daily basis. All this contributes to healthy, consistent and profitable growth," says Jean-Baptiste Descroix-Vernier, Chairman of the Rentabiliweb group.
Strong momentum of direct marketing activities (cash back) and telecom services
The monetisation services business (B2B: monetisation of audience for third parties) has posted record growth of +21.6% reaching EUR9.2 million in the first quarter of 2011. The direct marketing and cash back activities have recorded two or three-digit growth since their launch in 2004. Mailorama's revenue saw exceptional growth in the first quarter of 2011, with a 40% rise in users for the automatic cashback detection software and online shopping assistance: Mailocash. Mailorama thus confirms its leadership in online cashback and consolidates its position as the key site for online shopping with an audience up by 20% and an increase of 10 points in the satisfaction index of its members.
The first three months of the year were also marked by the dynamism of the Group's telecoms services; the Group now has a wide-ranging telecoms offer, in particular with the integration of the sales teams and solutions of the Vidalia group (http://www.rentabiliweb-interactive.com/). Rentabiliweb is thus fully capitalising on the telecom licences delivered by the ARCEP.
Combined with the electronic payment services, the Group is able to cover all the issues of e-commerce players in terms of payment, fully unified customer services (telephone, chat, voice, video, email, voice mail), providing incoming and outgoing telephone solutions, web call back, push SMS, etc.
The signatures of contracts with groups RueDuCommerce and Zed and the partnership signed for the launch of the film Titeuf, are direct illustrations of the Group's solid positioning in interactive services and telecoms businesses.
Rentabiliweb has also continued to develop its e-payment offering for e-commerce players. The Group has consolidated its banking partnerships with leading French banks, enabling it to guarantee and secure the processing of an exponential volume of transactions. It has also prepared its entry to the Groupement des Cartes Bancaires (Debit card Group) and has initiated relations with foreign banks and with the main international Visa and MasterCard networks in order to cover all its clients' international payment issues.
To date, the Group is the only French payment institution to have obtained a payment institution license in France, the UK, Germany, Spain and Luxembourg.
In its historic business of micropayment, the quarter was marked by the launch of a virtual money management system which is entirely configurable and directly integrated in the Rentabiliweb platform. This innovation, which is perfectly in line with the market's online gambling trends, allows a publisher to capitalise on its brands and to have advertisers directly sponsor the purchase of codes. During the quarter, the Group has also been very selective in the choice of its new partners and clients, in order to perfect the scheduled change in the client mix within the Group's payment offerings, favouring higher margin products.
Performance of the public entertainment package on Internet and mobile
The digital content publishing business (B2C: monetisation of audience for own account), supported by the topics Meeting, Female well-being, Astrology and Family games, has posted growth over the first three months of the year of +12.6% at EUR13.4 million. The relative weight of the B2C platform remains stable, representing around 60% of the Group's total business during the quarter. The first quarter is historically the lowest of the year.
The first three months of the year were characterised by enhanced public entertainment content with the gradual integration of the http://www.purevoyance.com astrology activities, the services and content of which offer considerable links with other audiences of the Group.
The period also recorded a rise in women's sites, particularly http://www.clicbienetre.com which saw a 20% increase in its members during the first quarter.
At the same time, the technical teams have been anticipating the change in the Google algorithm, in order to retain optimal referencing. The sales and marketing teams of the B2C platform have also been working hard on the natural and paying references of the Group's websites in order to further enhance cross-sales and ultimately to improve our contribution margin.
