Owner Ryan Friedlinghaus and his shop have been doing exclusive custom builds for the MTV show Pimp my Ride, TLC's Street Customs, Street Customs Berlin and now for his new show on Discovery's HD Theater, Inside West Coast Customs. Ryan and his crew are world-renowned for their extreme vehicles, outrageous features and unique designs.
"We are so excited to see this truck by West Coast Customs," said Dana Zamalloa, manager of PR and Communications, General Tire. "I have worked with some of the best car builders in the industry, and Ryan's style and design always blow me away. Ox was a perfect candidate for this build; he has become a perfect cross-over athlete with a solid freestyle MX career, he's a stellar Baja MX racer and now an aggressive off-road race truck driver. We are expected to see great things from him on the track."
Jeff "Ox" Kargola —Metal Mulisha freestyle rider and Johnny Campbell Racing Team Baja MX racer— is no stranger to winning. He is an accomplished Freestyle MX rider with a Winter X Games silver medal for "Best Trick", is a WFA Big Air Points Champ and was the first person to complete a "Superman Seat-Grab Back Flip."
In Baja MX racing, he placed first at the 2010 SCORE Baja 500 in Class 22, took first place at the 2010 SCORE San Felipe 250 in Class 22 and is in contention for the SCORE Baja overall championship for 2010. In his debut into off-road racing at the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series in Glen Helen, Calif., Kargola took 3rd place in the Superlite class after an intense neck-and-neck battle the majority of the race for first place with fellow Metal Mulisha rider, Twitch.
