EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn., Nov. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Renowned professional long distance runner Jordan Hasay has joined BiPro USA as an official endorser of its high-quality whey protein isolate. Hasay graduated from the University of Oregon as the program's most decorated runner in school history with 18 combined All-America awards and turned professional in 2013. That's when she started taking BiPro to supplement her rigorous workouts.
Using a clean protein supplement like BiPro whey protein that contains no fillers or sugar, Hasay recovered from workouts quicker than ever before and started to build leaner, more defined muscles. She didn't want to tell other runners about the protein powder that was helping her improve, but recently had a change of heart and approached BiPro USA about becoming a product spokesperson.
"I didn't want to share the secret because BiPro whey protein isolate was just helping me so much. But then I decided it's cool to get this message out because one of the things I like to do is just inspire other kids, runners and athletes. I think BiPro can really help future runners," Hasay said. "When I started using BiPro, I immediately noticed a difference and have just been hooked ever since."
Hasay broke the 12-year-old age group record for the 3,000 meters at 9:48.77 and the United States high school record for the 1,500 meters with a 4:14.50. She hopes to qualify for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and represent Team USA in the 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters. Currently, Hasay is one of just four women training in the prestigious Nike® Oregon Project program.
"We're ecstatic to have a runner as accomplished as Jordan join our team," said Aimee Krengel, BiPro USA's marketing manager. "Her story shows that BiPro can not only help professional football players looking to get stronger but also aid runners striving to add lean muscle and improve recovery from their workouts."
Hasay said she has been working on getting stronger to help her run longer events and finish races with a strong kick. She notices more and more elite runners taking whey protein supplements because they are seeing great results.
"I think people are realizing how important whey protein is to recovery, especially having that pure sort of protein," Hasay said. "We don't want a lot of extra calories. In the past that's kind of what everyone was drawn to, these big muscle shakes. That's just too filling and it's actually not good on your stomach when you go out for a run. I think runners are drawn to BiPro because it's really easy on your stomach."
BiPro USA is the consumer division of Davisco, a business unit of Agropur inc. To learn more about whey protein's benefits, head over to BiPro's FAQ page.
