Renowned Eye Doctor Operates While the Public 'Looks Over His Shoulder'
Dr. Steven Siepser Demonstrates Live Lasik Eye Procedure For Those Who Want Improved Vision
WAYNE, Pa., Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Steven Siepser, M.D., one of the Delaware Valley's most distinguished ophthalmologists, is sponsoring a live demonstration of Lasik eye surgery, Thursday Sept. 23, at 860 East Swedesford Road, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The demonstration is free and open to the public.
"People have tremendous fear about anything that might suggest surgery or corrective methods that apply to their eyes," says Dr. Siepser, who was among the first group of doctors in the Delaware Valley to use the innovative VISX laser for vision correction. The VISX laser allows for more individualized vision correction.
"This is a comfortable way for people who need vision correction, but have stayed away because of fear or misunderstanding, to see exactly how it's done at my medical office," says Dr. Siepser. "The pun is intended. Guests will have the opportunity to see how painless and quick the procedure is, and afterwards, I'll answer any questions people have. It's the ideal setting to learn more about the procedure first-hand, especially for those who wear glasses or contacts."
There will also be a raffle for $1,000 off of the cost of the procedure.
Dr. Siepser is a board-certified ophthalmologist and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, who has performed more than 20,000 vision correction procedures in his 30-year career and has had a zero rate of infection at his Lasik surgery center. He holds six patents, five of which help improve patients' vision.
Dr. Siepser and his team at Siepser Laser Eyecare have been named to Premier Surgeon magazine's top 250 (PS250) as leading innovators in the field of premium IOL implant surgery. He is one of only 14 ophthalmologists chosen by the magazine in Pennsylvania.
He has improved the vision of a variety of local personalities and their families, including Vince Papale, Bobby Taylor, Chad Lewis, Larry Brown, Scott Palmer, Shane Victorino's wife, Melissa, and local radio personalities 102.9 WMGK's Debbie Calton and 94.1 WYSP's Gordon Mays.
He has offices in Wayne and Plymouth Meeting, Pa.
