Renaissance Nashville Hotel Gives Back to the Community

NASHVILLE, Tenn., May 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of Marriott's "Spirit to Serve the Community" initiative, Renaissance Nashville Hotel associates will be involved in the upcoming Second Harvest event during Associate Appreciation Week. Volunteers from the downtown Nashville, Tennessee, hotel will be sorting donated canned goods for local food bank Second Harvest. Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee is one of the largest and most comprehensive of more than 200 food banks and food distribution centers nationwide. Second Harvest helps fight hunger by feeding hope in Middle Tennessee.

The Nashville lodging hotel and Second Harvest partner on Kids' Cafe. The Kid's Cafe program is designed to feed children who are at risk of going hungry and provide them with physical and emotional nourishment critical to healthy development. The hotel adopted Martha O'Bryan Center as a part of the Spirit to Serve the Community initiative in conjunction with Kid's Cafe. The hotel provides a free dinner and snack every other Monday at the center. The hotel will also be hosting an end-of-year cookout on Monday, June 11.
