"We are thrilled to partner with LongView and our other team members to provide high quality, enterprise-level biomedical informatics and IT solutions to government agencies," said Gary Kennedy, Founder and CEO of Remedy Informatics. "The CIO-SP3 contract is an extremely important initiative because it will allow agencies throughout NIH and HHS that are responsible for leading key research initiatives to more quickly deploy new technologies that will enable them to accelerate the pace of medical discoveries and innovation."
Remedy was chosen for its expertise in patient registries, integrated research management systems, and new technology for aggregating, mapping and harmonizing biomedical research data. With several high profile research institutions currently using Remedy's products, including Massachusetts General Hospital, the American Joint Replacement Registry, the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, and many others, Remedy is poised to offer its next-generation registry and research informatics technology to government agencies and departments facing biomedical data challenges.
Built on its flagship Mosaic™ Platform, Remedy's products are designed to help healthcare and life science researchers improve their use of patient, subject, research and clinical data. With a broader and deeper view of their data, researchers and clinicians are able to accelerate the rate of discovery and are better able to track outcomes in order to improve the quality of patient care.
Remedy is currently collaborating with SAIC-Frederick to implement the Investigate™ Integrated Research Management System (IRMS) at the National Cancer Institute's Frederick National Lab for Cancer Research (FNL). Investigate is the first and only IRMS and is enabling cross-discipline, cross-institution sharing of data between clinical, laboratory and biobank researchers and data sources. Investigate enables improved laboratory workflows, biospecimen management, instrument integration, data visualization and research project review and approval, all aimed at accelerating discoveries at the ten high-profile laboratories of the FNL Patient Characterization Center and Advanced Technology Program.
"We wanted Remedy on the LongView team because their registry and translational informatics technology is far ahead of any others in the industry and they bring deep expertise in clinical informatics products generally. We are confident they will be a significant advantage for our team as we pursue projects under the CIO-SP3 award," said Ben Long, CIO-SP3 program manager for LongView.
The team, led by LongView International Technology Solutions, Inc., was one of ten Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) awardees for the CIO-SP3 contract. Notably, the LongView team won in all ten task areas of the contract, increasing the number of services that can be provided and therefore the projects the team can pursue. The CIO-SP3 contract is a ten-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) with a $20 billion ceiling to provide IT solutions across ten task areas including: IT Services for Biomedical Research; Health Sciences and Healthcare; CIO Support; Imaging; Outsourcing; IT Operations and Maintenance; Integration Services; Critical Infrastructure Protection and Information Assurance; Digital Government; Enterprise Resource Planning; and Software Development.
