RE/MAX of New Jersey Chooses #RealNJ Scholarship Winners

MOORESTOWN, N.J., May 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Hundreds of talented writers, singers, photographers and videographers submitted their personal representation of New Jersey for the 2015 RE/MAX of New Jersey #RealNJ Scholarship. It wasn't easy but after very careful consideration, the RE/MAX of NJ team determined a first and second place winner as well as three honorable mentions.

First place and a cash prize of $2,000 went to Morristown Senior, Samuel Panko, who expressed his Jersey pride through a film titled, "What Can't You Do In New Jersey?" Panko did an outstanding job of capturing the beauty, wonder and cultural diversity that New Jersey offers its residents.

Second place and a cash prize of $1,000 was awarded to Patrick Azzari, a Senior from Haddon Heights High School, who expressed his vision of our state in a poem entitled, "Who Are You?" This evocative piece highlights the pride and resilience of NJ as it prevailed through difficult times such as Superstorm Sandy and 9/11.

Honorable mentions were given to Emely Tavera for her collection of photos from the Jersey Shore, Abigail Ucci for her creative writing piece about the Jersey Devil and Sabeen Aslam for her essay about the cultural diversity of the Garden State.
