DENVER, June 29, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- RE/MAX, the #1 name in real estate*, has more of America's most productive agents than any other brand, according to the 13th Annual REAL Trends "The Thousand." RE/MAX agents have claimed the most rankings in the respected survey three out of the last four years.
"Independent surveys continue to support our claim that RE/MAX is the world's most productive real estate network when measured by transaction sides," said RE/MAX CEO Adam Contos. "RE/MAX repeatedly outperforms its competitors in industry rankings year after year. It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that many of the most talented and dedicated agents in real estate are in the RE/MAX network."
Published in The Wall Street Journal, the annual REAL Trends "The Thousand" survey ranks participating U.S. agents based on their residential production the previous year. The survey is divided into four categories including individual agents by sales volume, individual agents by transaction sides, agent teams by volume and agent teams by sides. Of the 1,000 rankings in this year's survey, RE/MAX agents claimed 156 spots, Keller Williams finished second with 142, Coldwell Banker was third with 103, Sotheby's was fourth with 57 and Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices was fifth with 43. No other brands topped 40 spots.
Among the 500 individual agents and agent teams closing the most residential transaction sides, nearly one-fourth (121) are RE/MAX agents. In the category for transaction sides sold by individuals, each of the 68 qualifying RE/MAX agents sold at least 10 times as many homes as the agent median of 12**, as reported by the National Association of Realtors®.
Other notable recognitions of RE/MAX agents and teams in the 2018 "The Thousand":
- Seven RE/MAX agents finished in the top 50 for individual transaction sides with John Swartz of RE/MAX Connection in Turnersville, N.J., ranking fourth with 446 sides.
- Of the 53 RE/MAX teams ranked for transaction sides, 11 finished in the top 50 led by No. 4 Ryan O'Neill's Minnesota Real Estate Team with RE/MAX Advantage Plus in Bloomington (1,729 sides).
- In sales volume, 8 of the 25 ranked RE/MAX teams finished in the top 50, led by the Joshua Barker Team of RE/MAX Town & Country in Redding, Calif. The team placed sixth with $580.4 million in sales volume.
- Ten RE/MAX individual agents placed in the survey for sales volume led by Jordan Cohen of RE/MAX Olson & Associates in Westlake Village, Calif., with $152.9 million (No. 54).
Industry surveys repeatedly recognize the RE/MAX network for its high productivity. RE/MAX associates once again outperformed agents with other real estate brands in the 2018 REAL Trends 500 survey. For the eighth consecutive year, RE/MAX agents in the survey on average outsold competing agents – averaging more than twice as many closed sales than agents at other participating large brokerages.
RE/MAX is in more countries and territories than any other real estate brand. From a single office that opened in 1973 in Denver, Colo., RE/MAX has grown into a global real estate network with more than 120,000 sales associates in more than 100 countries and territories.
