Release of 2013 (the 10th) China Software Export & Service Outsourcing Ranking List
BEIJING, June 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- China Software and Services Outsourcing Network (http://www.csso.com.cn) released the selected units and characters of the 2013 China Software Export and Service Outsourcing Ranking List on June 16, 2014. As the first professional organization focusing on China's domestic software export and service outsourcing industry, www.csso.com.cn has released the Software Export and Service Outsourcing Ranking List annually since 2005 with this year marking the 10th year. It is currently the most influential launch event in this field, and the annually released results are not only reported by numerous websites at home and abroad, but also draw wide attention from outsourcers in Japan, South Korea, Europe, the U.S. and other countries. Moreover, the ranking results were repeatedly collected in Yearbook of China Software Industry, and the relevant published data were also applied by relevant national authorities, some local governments, international agencies and consulting corporations.
Mr. Xiao Yaping, Executive Director of China Software Industry Association and Editor-in-chief of China's Software and Service Outsourcing said that, the aim of the release is to summarize and recognize outstanding enterprises and characters that have made great achievements in China's software export and service outsourcing annually, establish industry models and recommend industry brands. The last decade has been a time of rapid growth for China's software and service outsourcing, and also a time for the enterprises in this industry to actively create corporate brands and build national brands.
According to Mr. Xiao Yaping, after the last ten years of rapid development, the achievements of China's software industry are quite visible. However, China's software and service outsourcing industry has faced unprecedented challenges over the last two years. Rising labor costs, lower profits arising by the mutual demand of a lower price, and in particular the depreciation of the yen and the impact of the relationship between China and Japan have made it very difficult for outsourcing enterprises with Japanese clients to survive. For this reason, many enterprises began to move to third and fourth tier cities, and gradually switched to developing business domestically. Xiao Yaping believes that the Japanese outsourcing market accounted for more than 50% share of the business of Chinese outsourcing enterprises for over a decade, so the losses for China's outsourcing companies with Japanese clients will also affect the development of Japan's contracting enterprises.
Xiao Yaping believes that the current difficulties which China's software and service outsourcing enterprises face with are also a necessary stage for the restructuring and consolidation of the industry. State support for the industry is increasing, and the market demand is huge, such as the construction of smart cities, which is a large and long-term market. Based on the information on the increase of software industry tax recently released by the State Administration of Taxation, we should be optimistic about the future of this industry. China's software industry should advance steadily, and develop with innovation. Computer operating systems and mobile operating systems have long been monopolized by foreign brands, and various forms indicate that now is the time for the development of a domestic operating system, so our national brands should not only seize the opportunity, but also strive to perform exceptionally well. Xiao Yaping noted, Tencent, Baidu, 360 and other Internet companies are also software companies, which have solid financial strength and more excellent technical talents, so these companies should actively participate in this battle which is of vital importance of the national industry, thus China's software industry will have greater hope.
