LIVE, announced its sponsors for the 2014 Festival. The Los Angeles Film Festival will run from Wednesday, June 11 to Thursday, June 19 in downtown Los Angeles. For the ninth year, the Los Angeles Times will serve as the Festival's Presenting Media Sponsor and will produce the Official Festival Guide, the comprehensive source for all movie info, screenings, locations and related special events. The Film Guide topped the paper on Sunday, June 8 in Los Angeles and Orange County, and will be made available throughout downtown Los Angeles during the Festival.
Through a wide-ranging partnership with AEG, a majority of the screenings will take place at Regal Cinemas L.A. Live Stadium 14. Regal Cinemas L.A. LIVE Stadium 14 is a state-of-the-art theatre with digital projection in all 14 auditoriums. The Premiere House at L.A. The Los Angeles Film Festival offers several free community screenings, open to the public. On June 13th a Dance-A-Long screening of La Bamba will be produced in cooperation with Dance Camera West and Metro. The event is sponsored by FICG in LA (Guadalajara Film Festival in Los Angeles) and Univision. The Los Angeles Film Festival will also present two free community screenings of I Am Big Bird: The Carroll Pinney Story on June 13th and Sherlock Jr. on June 14th. The Sherlock Jr screening will be accompanied live by the French garage rockers Magnetix, who have composed an original score just for this outdoor screening at California Plaza.
