Registration Now Open for Stair Climb for Los Angeles
Annual Fundraiser for Ketchum-Downtown YMCA Celebrates 20th Anniversary
LOS ANGELES, Aug. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following is being released by YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles:
WHAT: Registration is now open to participate in the 20th Anniversary Stair Climb for Los Angeles presented by Wells Fargo. Some of the most elite stair climbers in the country will be joined by individuals of all ages and abilities to race or walk up 75 stories of the U.S. Bank Tower, the tallest building west of the Mississippi. The public is invited to join the fun at the Stair Climb Block Party to cheer for climbers while enjoying music, food and entertainment. Ketchum-Downtown Family YMCA offers free training to prepare for the climb.
Registration is available through www.ymcastairclimb.org through September 18, 2013, 6:00 p.m. (PDT).
WHO: Four thousand stair climbers are expected to participate, ranging from world-class stair climbers to firefighters in full gear, corporate teams, weekend warriors, seniors and children as young as 10 years old.
WHEN: Friday, September 27, 2013
Stair Climb begins 12:00 p.m. (Elite Climbers begin at 11:45 a.m.)
Block Party takes place from Noon – 9 p.m.
