Registration Now Open for Hillsdale's 'Constitutional Issues and Controversies' Hostel Program
HILLSDALE, Mich., May 3, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Hillsdale College today announced registration is open for "Constitutional Issues and Controversies," an interactive Hillsdale Hostel course that will explore the contemporary view of topics such as the family, civil rights, free speech, foreign policy, and religious liberty as they relate to the Founders' view. The program will be held June 19-25 on the Hillsdale College campus in Hillsdale, Mich.
"Hillsdale College's professors are among the nation's leading experts in the Constitution, and as a result the 'Constitutional Issues and Controversies' course is one of the most popular hostels we offer," said Peggy Youngs, director for the Hillsdale Hostel program. "In recent decades, numerous issues and controversies have arisen regarding our founding document. This Hostel program will provide participants with an understanding of and renewed appreciation for the Constitution."
Often referred to as "a vacation in the world of ideas," Hillsdale Hostel programs are multi-day seminars that give students of all ages an opportunity to study a variety of subjects, including economics, history, politics, and religion, with Hillsdale's nationally renowned faculty – the same professors who teach undergraduate and graduate students during the academic year.
"Constitutional Issues and Controversies" will be held June 19-25 on the beautiful Hillsdale College campus in Hillsdale, Mich. The cost is $950 per person and includes lodging, meals, lectures, and other activities. Commuter rates are available.
