Lewis will Further Enhance MWW's Competencies in Health, Wellness, Food and Other Key Categories
NEW YORK, March 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- MWW (www.mww.com), one of the top-five global independent public relations firms, announced today that registered dietitian Sarah Lewis has joined MWW as manager of nutritional communications in the firm's consumer practice. With diverse experience in nutrition and public relations, Lewis is focused on building out a nutrition communications consulting service for the agency's clients.
Lewis has a deep background in healthcare, which enables her to provide clients with a full gamut of knowledge to best shape their nutrition-based strategies and programs. In her role, she will provide strategic nutrition communications counsel and services to a robust group of MWW clients, leading account management responsibilities and interacting with key leaders in the health care and nutrition communities.
"Nutrition is a top priority among the audiences we work with," said Tara Naughton, executive vice president and New York Consumer Marketing Practice Lead at MWW. "Brands continue to deliver transparency around the nutritional benefits of their products, and consumers are more interested in what they're putting into their bodies than ever before.
"The nutrition-based story is a delicate one to tell, and to do so, you need someone who offers credible knowledge," Naughton continued. "Sarah brings the experiences to grow our nutrition communications consulting service. She knows how to tell our clients' stories to the nutrition and healthcare communities."
Lewis started her career at Ketchum, Inc., where she worked on numerous accounts in both the food & nutrition and healthcare practices, including such commodities as The National Honey Board, Canned Food Alliance and California Sweetpotatoes, as well as Frito-Lay, Daisy Brand Cottage Cheese, Vita Coco, Pfizer and 7-Eleven. Before joining Ketchum, Lewis completed a dietetic internship at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Lewis earned a bachelor's degree in Nutrition Science from the University of Tennessee.
