Regina M. Davis is recognized by Continental Who's Who with the Diamond Lifetime Achievement award
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., Feb. 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Regina M. Davis is recognized by Continental Who's Who with the Diamond Lifetime Achievement award as a result of Excellence as a Children's Book Author, specializing in BULLYING.
With almost four decades teaching elementary school, first in Bethpage, Long Island and later in Virginia Beach, VA, Regina is co-author of the "Senor Smarty Pantaloons" children's book series. The first book, entitled "Senor Smarty Pantaloons and the Mystery of the Missing Teachers" which she wrote with co-author/illustrator, Carolyn Royer Spencer, is a colorful, creative children's mystery tale.
Regina and Carolyn spoke from personal experience in their writing. Their two recently published works in this series focus on the topic of bullying, a hot button issue in our schools, worksites, and virtually all locations. "Lord Computesalot, Ruler of Aurora Bullyalis, and His Secret Quest to Stop Bullying", as well as the corresponding fun activity book, "Lord Computesalot's Quintessential Quest to Banish Bullies" would be an excellent resource for anyone who deals with children, especially guidance counselors, teachers, parents, and grandparents. An article on how these books can help curb bullying appeared in the "Close-Up" Newsletter for Nov. 2013, the December 7, 2013 issue of The Virginian Pilot newspaper, and the International Reading Association's Nov./Dec. issue of "Reading Today" magazine under Member Spotlight.
In addition to writing, Regina and Carolyn speak on radio interviews about their anti-bullying books, and host anti- bullying assemblies and readings at local schools. It is their sincere wish to show how bullying affects all ages and how destructive it can be to an individual's physical and psychological well-being. They hope that they can open up dialogue on the problem of bullying, which has become an epidemic in our society.
Furthermore, in addition to other organizations, Regina is a Board Member of the Cape Charles Historical Society, and is a member of Red Hats, International Reading Association, Virginia Beach Education Association, National Education Association, and Continental Who's Who.
