KNOXVILLE, Tenn., April 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Regal Entertainment Group, a leading motion picture exhibitor owning and operating the largest theatre circuit in the United States, today announced its national partnership with Atom Tickets, the first-of-its-kind theatrical mobile ticketing platform and app. The app launched in select markets across the U.S. with Regal earlier this year and is projected to support over 7,300 screens by the end of the year.

Atom's technology enables Regal to further engage customers and drive attendance by utilizing Atom's social invitation features and pre-ordering of tickets and concessions. Atom adds convenience to the customer experience at every step of the movie-going process, from recommending movies that a customer loves to skipping the lines at the theatre. Customers will also be able to seamlessly integrate their Crown Club membership into the app, so they will continue to earn rewards.

Upon arrival, consumers redeem their tickets by simply scanning their QR code at tablets located at the usher and concession stands in the theater.
