Reformation Trust Re-Prints the Reformation Study Bible (2015), ESV less than Six Months from Release
ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 16, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Reformation Trust Publishing, the publishing division of Ligonier Ministries, is pleased to announce a second printing of the Reformation Study Bible (2015). Less than six months from its March 2015 debut, almost 40,000 copies of the new edition of the Reformation Study Bible (2015) in the English Standard Version (ESV) have been distributed.
"Sales of this carefully crafted new edition have set a high watermark for our ministry with demand remaining strong both domestically and internationally," shared J.D. Bridges, Ligonier's vice president of sales. "People have responded very well to the expanded and thoroughly revised commentary, which grew by more than 44% under the editorial leadership of Dr. R.C. Sproul along with 75 other distinguished theologians."
Over 1.1 million words of in-depth verse-by-verse commentary by many faithful pastors and theologians make this study Bible one of the most trusted study Bibles available today. In addition, the significant improvements made to the reading and study experience have enhanced the usability of this edition. 20,000+ study notes, new theological notes from R.C. Sproul, 41 maps, and topical articles are included in the Reformation Study Bible, plus many historic creeds, confessions, and catechisms of the Christian faith.
"This is our ultimate aim—to get God's people not only to read God's Word but to study God's Word, love God's Word, obey God's Word, apply God's Word, hide God's Word in their hearts, and teach God's Word to their families, their neighbors, and the nations. That is why we publish study Bibles—to help fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ, for His glory, not our own," writes Rev. Burk Parsons, copastor at St. Andrew's Chapel and Ligonier's vice president of publishing, associate editor for the Reformation Study Bible (2015), and editor for Tabletalk magazine.
As far as future printings are concerned, Mr. Bridges notes, "We have plans to improve both the quality of the paper and the presentation of this resource, even as we continue to introduce new covers and styles as we re-print."
Many students of God's Word have warmly welcomed this new resource because of its reliable commentary endorsed by ministry leaders and authors such as Dr. R. Albert Mohler Jr., Mrs. Joni Eareckson Tada, Rev. Kevin DeYoung, Dr. Mark Dever, Dr. Ligon Duncan, Dr. Rosaria Butterfield, Dr. David F. Wells, and many more. With each purchase, Ligonier includes an extra $400 worth of additional study resources (both digital and print) available for free through an innovative online registration process.
Reformation Trust looks forward to the release of the NKJV edition of the Reformation Study Bible (2015) at Ligonier's National Conference in Orlando, FL beginning February 25, 2016.
