Total refining capacity of Former Soviet Union in 2017 was 8,438 mbd. The refining capacity increased from 2012 to 2017 at an AAGR of 0.9%. Furthermore, it is expected to increase till 2022 at an AAGR of 2.5%. Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Lithuania and Azerbaijan are the top five countries in the region in terms of catalytic crackerunit capacity. In 2017, together these five countries account for 91.5% of total catalytic cracker unit capacity in the region.
