RedBrick Health Expands Board of Directors with Two New Members

MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 6, 2014 ­/PRNewswire/ --RedBrick Health, a fast-growing leader in consumer health engagement and behavior change technology, today announced the appointment of Dr. Stephen Kahane and Mr. Rick Jelinek to its Board of Directors, extending the board to eight members.

Dr. Kahane is the President of athenahealth's Enterprise Solutions Group, offering health system and physician practice automation through cloud-based services for revenue cycle, electronic health records, clinical integration and patient access. His previous experience includes roles as CEO of AMICAS, VitalWorks, and Datamedic, successful health information technology companies. He also served as Medical Director and Systems Development Director of Information Systems at Johns Hopkins Medical Institution.

Mr. Jelinek is an operating partner at Advent International, a Boston-based private equity firm. He previously served as CEO at OptumHealth, a division of UnitedHealth Group, overseeing care delivery, population health management and consumer programs.  While at United, he also led the company's Medicare Advantage business, Medicaid and children's health insurance subsidiary, and its Emerging Businesses Group. In addition, he has a diverse background in other payer, provider and integrated delivery system organizations.
