Product offers chemical-free disinfection solution as mobile devices are increasingly adopted in healthcare industry

CLAREMONT, N.H., Sept. 17, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- New Hampshire-based Red River, a leading information technology (IT) services provider, announced a partnership today between Red River Healthcare and ReadyDock, a healthcare IT firm that offers workflow management solutions of tablet computers in hospitals and other applications that require disinfecting, charging, storage and security of tablet PCs.

Red River Healthcare will maximize ReadyDock's disinfecting and charging capabilities for iPads in healthcare settings. The disinfecting process takes less than 60 seconds and addresses the recommendation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDCP) to frequently disinfect electronic devices used by patients and physicians. According to the CDCP, every year approximately 1.7 million hospital patients contract an infection unrelated to their reason for hospitalization. Of those patients, approximately 100,000 die from these infections, more than breast cancer and AIDS deaths combined.
